The Institute for Virtual and Real Learning in Adult Education at the University of Ulm (ILEU) e.V. invites to dialogue.
Necessary physical distance in Corona times is not the same as social distance! Under this premise, ILEU e.V. from Ulm as the coordinator of the educational network “Danube-Networkers” invites since the end of February on Sundays to the online session Come together! Connecting people in times of Corona by Culture.
In video conferences, members of the international network and guests parti-cipate in order to put together a manifold program “from friends for friends”. From music, singing, dancing, poetry, presentations about traditions to breath- relaxation exercises, there is something for everyone. The exploited language is English, multilingual contents and translations are helpful. Hundreds of people of all ages from all Danube countries and beyond have participated in the online sessions since then. They show that friendship and community can exist and can be actively lived by culture, even without a common language. The recorded online sessions are public available in the YouTube-Channel of ILEU. The sessions motivate to continue creative work in the local groups as well as to form international virtual groups. Conversation courses in English and French are already taking place, seniors exchange hobbies or discuss cultural treasures, fi lms and much more. „Come together – connecting people in times of Corona by culture“ (DANECT) is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung as a pilot project from May to November 2020.
