KUNST AUF DER INSEL I Danubiana Meulensteen Art MuseumAuf einer etwa 15 Kilometer von Bratislava entfernten Insel liegt das erste private Museum für moderne Kunst in der Slowakei. Es entstand auf Initiative des slowakischen Galeristen Vincent Polakovič, der vom niederländischen Kunstsammler und Unternehmer Gerard Meulensteen finanziell unterstützt wurde.Ein Skulpturengarten mit bunten Kunstwerken umgibt das Museum und bietet stets wunderschöne Ausblicke auf die Donau.Das Gebäude soll ein von Rudern fortbewegtes Schiff darstellen, das Entfernungen überwindet und entfernte Länder sowie verschiedene Kulturen verbindet.Es ist eine Oase der Kunst und lädt zum Verweilen und Entdecken ein.
